Iranian short film ‘‘Killing’ is to participate at the 2022 Gbeck Future Film Festival in Canada.
The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Killing’ by Hossein Roudbari will be screened in the 8th edition of the Canadian festival.
The short narrates the story of Amir, who has had a bad day. A nightmare unfolds before his eyes and his life changes forever, a synopsis for the film reads.
The film is starring Ali Roudbari.
Earlier reports said ‘The Statue’ by Mohsen Salehifard, ‘Shadow’ by Farzin Taheri, ‘The Choice’ by Mansoureh Radfar, Reza Javanshir’s ‘The Psychopath’, ‘Naji’ by Hossein Torkjosh, and ‘My Yellowness, Your Redness’ by Ahmed Sayyed Kashmiri would also take part in the Gbeck Future.
The Gbeck Future Film Festival is “a competition of original films created by filmmakers from around the world,” an online submission platform reads.
The festival is “designed to discover and support young filmmakers”.
“Many great young filmmakers have been fostered by this event, and many excellent new films were discovered in the selection process.”
The 8th edition of the Gbeck Future Film Festival will take place on April 8-10.
